
For the next three races, The Gulf Canada Series has made its west-coast swing through Edmonton Alberta, Canada. Only three Formula A drivers started the race at Edmonton International Raceway, June 22. Al Pease, who would have been the fourth driver, opted to withdraw from the series with an oil leak. Eleven Formula A cars remained in the field. George Eaton opted to leave the series to concentrate his efforts on other series. Eppie Wietzes
Eppie Wietzes, a Canadian racing legend was able to drive everything on four wheels, from a Morris Minor powered by an Austin A40 engine to Formula One cars. He was also a competitor in Formula 5000 and won Trans-Am in a Corvette in 1981. Eppie Wietzes was inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame for his contributions to the sport. His career in motorsport was short.
Bill Brack
Bill Brack was a Toronto native who began racing in early 1960s. He raced in Mini Coopers on ice and won four races. Later, Brack competed in the Formula A/5000 Championship, driving a Lotus 70-Chevrolet and winning four races. Brack emigrated to the United States in 1967. There, he raced Lotus vehicles. He won the Eastern Championship in 1968 with a Lotus 49B Cosworth.

Paul Rawlinson
The Lucid is a result of an obsession to reduce weight and will have an electrical motor. Tyler Schilling (a customer) reserved a vehicle and drove it around California's coastline roads after the Lucid was launched in December 2016. The Lucid already has more than 17,000 reservations, and plans to make 20,000 cars next year. Road & Track is positive that the concept is a success. But how will it do?
Ron Tauranac
Ron Tauranac, a legendary racecar designer, died January 10, 2018, at 95. Tauranac, who co-founded Brabham Racing Developments' and Motor Racing Developments', was also a designer for racecars. His designs won 2 Formula One World Championships: the 1966 and 1967 versions. Tauranac's cars were modified by many car companies including Lotus, Ferrari and Maserati. Tauranac had an impressive track record, but his greatest triumph was winning the 1968 British Formula One title.
The DN6 5000
CRL Historic Race Sim Developments announced the Shadow DN-6 Formula 5000 racing car. It was based upon Tony Southgate’s design. It used the same production V8 as the DN5 F1 cars. It also used a Hewland TL200 transmission instead of the DG type. However, it was quite different from the F5000. Its design, however, was very similar to the DN5 F1.
McLaren M10B
McLaren's M10B was a relatively early example of its evolution. The M10B was introduced in 1973 but it wasn't seen any significant action until 1975. By that year, it had been raced only four times and had been sold to 21 different customers. It was a highly successful car, winning two championships. McLaren made it one the most sought after and most successful McLaren cars.

Ford Ecoboost motor
Ford's EcoBoost engine, 1.0 liter, has been modified to make it the driving force of the Formula Ford racecar. Ford engineers believe this engine will have over 200 horsepower. It will be mated to an automatic six-speed transmission. According to Ford engineers, the Ford EcoBoost can accelerate from 0-60 mph in less that four seconds. In fact, the Ford EcoBoost engine is so powerful, it's able to compete with a Lamborghini Aventador and a Ferrari Enzo for the title of fastest road-going vehicle on the Nurburgring track.
