pro racing car

After a weekend of excitement, it's finally time to review the nascar leaders in points. Which drivers are leading now? What will happen to the rest of this field? We'll look at Chase Elliott (William Byron), Ross Chastain, Martin Truex Jr. and many more. But who are the other drivers leading the points? Who is the favorite to win the title? Who will be next to win the race?

Joe Kosiski

Joe Kosiski was the NASCAR points leaders at the conclusion the Division II races held at Oglethorpe Park Speedway Park. Shane Riner continues to be his main rival, while Eric Humphries is also following him. Riner won the sixth race at Oglethorpe, and now has seven90 points. Humphries only has 592 points. After a long streak of poor finishes, Kosiski's streak of poor finishes has ended.

Kosiski, a Dodge Weekly Series champion twice over, won the division title and the NDWS championship both in 1986. He also has an unrecord eight top-five finishes. He is currently at the top of points at two tracks. Shane Riner (NDWS Division II), and Pete Anderson Jr.

Shane Riner

Late Model driver Shane Riner of Guyton, Ga., is one of the nation's leading points scorers. Riner has five72 points to his name, which is one place ahead of Joe Kosiski (24) who holds a 44 percent lead. Both drivers have won races this season. Kosiski has also had one win and 10 top five finishes. Riner has much more to offer. Oglethorpe Speedway Park Late Model makes up the latest addition to the NASCAR standings.

The father of two daughters, Ashley, 14, and McKenzie, 5, Riner has been in the spotlight for several years. His wife, Angeline, is an attorney. The thrill of racing isn’t his only attraction. It's easy for him to keep pursuing his dream with his children by his side. The success of the team is a result of his family's support.

Joey Logano

Joey Logano's 2016 season has been a success despite his rough start. He won the Martinsville pole but finished outside the top 11. After back-to-back DNFs at Kansas and Talladega, Joey Logano swung around to win the Sprint Cup All-Star Race at Kansas. After winning the FireKeepers Casino 400 race, he finished 40th at Coke Zero 400 before claiming the Dover championship.

On May 13, Logano entered the race in sixth place, but was quickly knocked back to mid-pack after a speeding penalty and cut tire. He was able stay in the mid-pack the rest of race, but unfortunately crashed into Danica Pat and Aric Almirola on the last laps. Logano's post-race interview with Danica Patrick was filled by both tears and anxiety after the fiery wreck. Both drivers were badly injured.
