Truex led the Toyota Tour de Force in qualifying and took four of the top 5 starting positions. Other Toyota drivers finishing in the top five were Kurt Busch, Bubba Wallace and Christopher Bell. Chase Elliott and Aric Almirola, the defending New Hampshire winner, were the leaders of the Chevrolet Ford teams.
