After it was sold to Fielder Racing Team, the M20 was still a strong contender in the championship.

UOP Shadow Can-Am team

The UOP Shadow Can-Am was a team that competed at the Can-Am series in 1973, 1974. Universal Oil Products (UOP), sponsored this team. It also included privateer teams and works. Their race cars were powered often by V8 engines. They were nicknamed the black shadows because of their appearance in car names. George Follmer, who qualified quicker than Oliver, led the Elkhart team. Another prominent team member, Scooter Patrick, drove a McLaren M20, which won the main race.
