Allgaier has been very busy in recent weeks, besides racing. He recently welcomed his second child, Willow, on May 24. Allgaier was already a participant in the Xfinity Series Playoffs prior to the birth. But he made it a point to be present for the arrival of his second child, Willow. Ashley, his wife also watches Allgaier race from a distance and her heart rate goes up just by looking at him.

Allgaier was making his full-time debut in ARCA Racing Series during the 2006 season. He earned one win and finished 10th. He became the first driver from Springfield to win his first race at the Illinois State Fairgrounds Racetrack. In 2007, he had a busy year, making three starts for MB and finishing fourth in the ARCA standings. He won his second and third midget features at Angell Park Speedway. He finished third in Chili Bowl behind Tony Stewart.
