The track is 2.2 miles long, with 12 turns. South Columbus Drive forms the start/finish line. The Buckingham Fountain serves as the backdrop.

In August 1974, the track hosted its first Cup Series race. Since then, it has hosted events in 88 premier series. In 2020 and 2021, the track hosted two races at the same time. The Sunday race had a reversed start grid.

Pocono Raceway can be found in Long Pond, Pennsylvania in the Pocono Mountains. The track is also known as Tricky Triangle. The track features a variety of thrilling racing events and is a great place for a family day out. Visitors can see the action up close during a day at The Track.

In 1959, the track was inaugurated by Rodger Ward who was also a past winner of the Indianapolis 500. It has a unique layout. The turns are modeled after those of other racetracks, but they are less severe that tri-oval turn. The track also has smaller banking than many long superspeedways.

Chase Elliott's past wins at the track

Chase Elliott has a long history in racing. He won his first race at Martinsville in 2012, and his second in 2016. He moved up to the Cup Series the following year and raced for JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series. In 2016, he won five races, including the PowerShares QQQ 300 at Daytona. He took the Can-Am Duel win in the season finale. He's the first driver in both races to win since Dale Earnhardt, 1996. Davey Allison, in 1990, was the only other driver to win both races. At Martinsville in 2016, Elliott was able to pass both Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who were bumping each other out of the way.

Chase Elliott's last win came at Road America on July 4, but that was a long time ago. This win propelled him to the top NASCAR points standings. Elliott arrived in Dover after completing three straight top-10 finishes.
