Carl Edwards is one of the most successful drivers in NASCAR history. After graduating from high school in Missouri and beginning to pursue his racing career, the former substitute teacher earned 72 wins in the national series, many of them punctuated with a backflip. He won both his first Cup Series and Xfinity Series races in 2005. He finished in the top two of the Xfinity Series standings for five consecutive seasons, winning the 2007 Xfinity Series championship. He retired as a fan favorite after a successful career and is now honored on the NASCAR Hall of Fame channel.
