After a thrilling stage one finish, Martin Truex Jr. sweeps stage two to take the lead. Kevin Harvick rises three spots to seventh. JGR wins their fourth season-highest win, just behind Christopher Bell. Chase Elliott leads the point race. It all happens down the stretch of New Hampshire.
Martin Truex Jr. sweeps one stage
Martin Truex Jr. won New Hampshire's first stage, taking the pole. The Ambetter 301 begins on the 1.058-mile oval after a delay due to rain. Truex is the leader from the beginning, but Bubba Wallace emerges from nowhere to take second. Kyle Larson is third and Kyle Elliott fourth. Kevin Harvick is currently seventh, just behind Aric Almirola. He has a great history at New Hampshire.
Martin Truex has had a tough season, but the Ambetter 301 was a great race. He won his first pole and led 172 laps faster than any other driver. He also won stages one, two, and was in great shape to move on to the playoffs.

Kevin Harvick is now No. 7
After finishing sixth at the last event, Kevin Harvick has moved up three places to seventh in New Hampshire NASCAR's results. The four-time winner is just 19 points out of the Playoffs, and has a solid track record in New Hampshire. Harvick finished in the top 12 five times in six of the last six races. He has a +35 position differential, which makes him an attractive bet for a great finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Martin Truex Jr. was in the lead for a while, but Harvick drove the best car to challenge Truex Jr. and make it into the playoffs. The final caution of the race came when Todd Gilliland spun out. This resulted in a 93-lap green flag.
JGR's fourth win of the season is won by Christopher Bell
Christopher Bell has already made a strong start to his NASCAR Cup Series rookie season. He won the Texas 500, opening the season, and earned a spot in next year's playoffs. After all, Bell has already proven his ability to win on short tracks and road courses, and has the potential to be a serious contender for the championship in the coming years.
Bell is now 4-0 for the Cup Series. He has also won two Xfinity Series races. He won three races in 2018 and one in 2019. Then, he followed that up by claiming his fourth win in the Ambetter 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He had to hold off the reigning Cup Series leader Chase Elliott, who had won the race a week earlier.

Chase Elliott leads after stage two
Loudon, New Hampshire is where the NASCAR Cup Series arrives. Martin Truex Jr. takes the lead row. He and Chase Elliott work outside each other to start the race. They make contact as they head into the first turn, but Elliott is able to avoid the collision and hold on to the lead. Erik Jones contacts Justin Haley and spins along the track. Alex Bowlicki next contacts Elliott. Elliott stays ahead heading into the second phase.
Bad weather caused delays of nearly two hours. Elliott held the lead for the 37 remaining laps, even after a restart. Then, after pitting for fuel and tires, he scored in third place. Later on, he pitted to get two tires but was careful and came back out in eighth. He eventually climbed up to ten places, including the lead.

What type of cars is used in racing cars, and why?
Speed is the most important thing to any race car driver. It's what makes them go fast. They have to be quick enough to catch up to other drivers but also strong enough to hold on to the lead. This gives them an advantage over the rest of the racers, as they can quickly overtake other drivers at high speeds and pull away from them again when it's not their turn.
The fastest cars are usually very lightweight. This allows them to accelerate quickly, and gain great speed. This also means that they have less power, which restricts how far they are able to travel in a short time. They must make use of their energy efficiently.
Engines power most modern-day racing cars. These engines look similar to regular passenger vehicles. These engines run on compressed oxygen, and not petrol. Because petrol is not powerful enough to give a car enough power to go fast, this is why these engines use compressed air.
